Iron Athlete is proud to announce the addition of new coach, Justin Bathurst! Read up and come meet him!
Justin is a former high school, collegiate and professional football player. He has been a member of the North Penn community including playing football for all three years at North Penn High School (2008 District 1 Champions). Justin attended West Chester University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and coaching. At West Chester he was a member of a winning football team including a Super Region 1 title, and received 1st team All-PSAC honors. After West Chester, Justin played two seasons with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (PIFL), earning two playoff appearances and Lineman of the Year award.
While playing with the Steelhawks, Justin was also working as a sports performance coach with collegiate and professional athletes and also has several successful years of experience as a college football coach working with the offensive lines at West Chester University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
What we really like about Coach Justin?
- Fresh off his playing career, Justin brings both the ability to put himself into the athletes’ shoes and a keen, knowledgeable coach’s perspective to help each individual athlete and client be successful.
- He has a great winning mentality that he brings into his coaching.
- He cracks a smile when he talks of hanging out with his 2 year old niece, and like Sara and Jim, he enjoys adventurous food (makes for fun team meetings over lunch).
If you can’t tell, we are excited to have his experience, expertise and presence on our team.
Stay tuned to see what Justin will be up to at Iron Athlete. We’ve got some ideas!
